Terms of Use

Using MemeBox

MemeBox is a Chrome extension with free features and optional paid software entitlements for supported browser-based calls. By installing or using it you agree to these terms.

Be kind and follow the rules

Use MemeBox for friendly fun. Don't use it to harass, bully or insult anyone, and don't play content that is hateful or that you don't have the right to share. Follow the rules of your school, workplace and the call service you use. If a meeting host asks you to stop, stop.

Your content

Lines, clips and packs you add stay on your device and remain yours. You are responsible for what you add and play. Only upload or play sounds you are allowed to use.

Pictures

Picture memes use pictures you add yourself. Only use pictures you are allowed to use. Don't use photos of other people without their permission, and never to embarrass or bully anyone.

Paid features

Paid products include Pro and Pro Max time passes, eligible characters, standard Pro filters and standard Pro costumes offered on the pricing page. Purchased pass time has no calendar expiry; it is counted while your pass is enabled in a supported call. A permanent purchase remains on your key, while pass features such as Follow me require an active pass. Pro Max exclusive characters, filters and costumes are not offered as new permanent purchases.

Manual UPI payments are checked by the developer. Gateway checkout issues a key only after the server verifies a captured payment. When Razorpay checkout is enabled, payment is handled by Razorpay. A checkout labelled Test uses simulated payments and collects no real money. Cashfree checkout and international card acceptance are not active on the public website; availability is shown at checkout. Prices and availability come from the server. International price listings do not mean international payments are already available.

A key works in your own browsers. Don't share or resell it. A key may be turned off if it is shared publicly or a payment is reversed. If something goes wrong with a payment, write to us with your order code and we will investigate, reconcile access or arrange a refund as appropriate. Refunds on a key with multiple purchases need review so unrelated purchases remain intact.

Delivery, cancellation and refunds

Digital access is provided after payment verification, as described in the digital delivery policy. The refund and cancellation policy covers activation, duplicate charges, failed delivery and payment errors. Applicable statutory rights are unaffected.

Tab audio

"Send this tab's sound" plays another tab's audio live into your call. It doesn't download anything. Respect the rights of the people who made that content.

Open source

MemeBox is free software under the GNU General Public License, version 3 or later. The complete source code of the version you have is available to anyone who has the extension, free of charge, for at least three years after you get it: write to memebox.help@gmail.com and say which version you have. The extension includes eSpeak-NG, also GPL-3.0.

No warranty

MemeBox is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Call websites change often, and a feature may stop working until an update. To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for any damages from using it.

Not affiliated

MemeBox is not made, endorsed or supported by Google, Zoom, Microsoft or Discord. Their names are used only to say where MemeBox works.

Changes

These terms may change. The new version will be posted here with a new date.
